We believe the wholeness of human life (captured in the red triangle of our logo) is possible only in relation to Jesus Christ, who ultimately embodies wholeness. From the early pages of the biblical story, we encounter the integrated life as the life God designed for us, and the life that Jesus came to restore. So, through faith in Jesus Christ we embark on a journey toward wholeness that will find its end in the new heavens and new earth.
This is a powerful reversal of the typically disconnected and fragmented lives that we lead, alienated from God, each other, ourselves and creation itself. This is the “living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3) that we want to embody at UCT.
We form whole-life disciples of Jesus Christ (or worshippers, cf. Romans 12:1-2), more specifically, through the integration of three embodies practices – community, discipleship, and mission.
